THE LIFESTYLE OF A DREAMER: AWAKEN THE DREAMER IN YOU (1)

I do believe that each and every one of us have the ability to hear from God. In the New Covenant, which is the New Testament each and every one of us has a measure of faith to flow in the prophetic. This is what the scriptures says in;

 "God has also given each of us different gifts to use. If we can prophesy, we should do it according to the amount of faith we have." Romans 12:6 (CEV)

What does this mean to you and me. It means we all have an amount of faith in us. Let us speak prophetically i.e fore-telling and forth-telling, with forth-telling being the creative ability embedded in our words. The New Covenant believer is less reliant on the sole gifted servant the prophet. This does not mean be a rogue, and walk around in rebellion without submission, certainly not. It simply means at the very least level, each one of us are our own prophets. Much of what the prophetic is about is speaking. The more bold in speaking we become, the more results we will see.

Perhaps this is what Moses perceived when he said;

"But Moses replied, "Are you concerned what this might do to me? I wish the LORD would give his Spirit to all his people so everyone could be a prophet." Numbers 11:29 (CEV)

Moses was such a humble man, regardless of the things God did through his hands, he remained humble. The Bible describes him as the worlds most humble man on all of the earth, no one could measure up to his humility, Numbers 12:3. In Moses time, he held the world guiness book of records title for being humble. But listen to Moses' desire, that all of us be prophets. All of us be filled with the Spirit of God and walk in the same way as he did with God. Perhaps Moses words are prophetic in the sense that God did pour out His Spirit in Acts 2. 

The main point of the matter is, we all have the ability to walk with God in a prophetic dimension. We can all experience the supernatural of God through His Spirit whom He poured out, and lives inside of us. Dreams and Visions is one way of walking with God in such a manner. It's for all of us and this blog post will help you live the lifestyle of a dreamer and awaken the dreamer in you!

THE MORNING AFTER

"...Nebuchadnezzar had dreams; his spirit was troubled, and his sleep left him." Dniel 2:1 (ESV) 

A true and genuine dream from God will stir you in the deepest part. The desire of wanting to know what God is speaking to you about in a dream will both trouble you and cause you to lose sleep. I know for sure we at some point in time have had these kind of dreams. They are not nightmares, but are deeply imprited with a holy question mark. Dreams of this kind, or when you have a dream and this happens. God is setting you off on what I would call, 'holy quest'. A journey of discovery through unravelling the hidden meaning of God's voice wrapped up in a dream. Just like Nebuchadnezzr had dreams and he was troubled, and his sleep left him, we can also have the same experience;

"he said, "I have had a dream that deeply troubles me, and I must know what it means." Daniel 2:3  (NLT)

We also know of two guys in the book of Genesis who had dreams and were troubled with wanting to know what their dreams meant. Joseph having been imprisoned,one day went to his inmates former servants of the king. The previous night they  had dreams that left a big question mark in their hearts and minds;

"And one night they both dreamed—the cupbearer and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were confined in the prison—each his own dream, and each dream with its own interpretation. When Joseph came to them in the morning, he saw that they were troubled. So he asked Pharaoh’s officers who were with him in custody in his master’s house, “Why are your faces downcast today?” They said to him, “We have had dreams, and there is no one to interpret them.” Genesis 40:5-8 (ESV)

Joseph quikly noticed that they are sad, distraught and dejected. Again here we can cleary see what effect Godly dreams have the morning after. I will also mention that dreams are important to the psychology of a human being. They do not only carry spiritual substance, but are of great significance to the pyschological well being of a man. Research in sleep and dreams has shown that if a person is wakened at the point when they are just to have a dream for 3-4 days consecutively, they will experience some type of psychotic breakdown or depression. Dreams help heal and declutter the the brain and mind from overload.

This is so important because, in spiritual dreams, such as bibical dream experiences. When you have a God-dream like in the manner of king Nebuchadnezzar, the cup-bearer, the baker and even king Pharoah. You will be left with an aching, and a hanging, wanting to know what it means. Not every dream requires an interpretation. But Holy Spirit-filled, and God defined dreams do. When you have them, they leave behind a strong imprit of God's presence. You will want to know, because you know that this dream means something. This is an implanted hunger and thirst. I am sure at some point we all have had these types of dreams and guess what? such dreams are from God. Forget what you have been told about your dreams, God is reaching out to you in your dreams, will you reach out to Him too?

REWARDS, HONOR & GIFTS

God is mysterious, we can never understand Him and His manifold wisdom. He plays hide and seek with us. He hides His message in a cyrptic dream, so that we can take time to persue Him, and search out what He means to say in these dreams;

"God is praised for being mysterious; rulers are praised for explaining mysteries." Proverbs 25:2 (CEV)

It is up to us to search out,  seek out and explain the mysteries that God hides in our dreams. I will also state this clearly, that the meaning of a dream is in its interpretation. God had made us kings, and priest according to Revelation 1:6, this means that we all have the ability to explain the mysteries of God. Kings are rulers, in other versions Proverbs 25:2 uses kings in place of rulers.

"But if you show the dream and its interpretation, you shall receive from me gifts and rewards and great honor." Daniel 2:6 (ESV)

When you take time to seek the meaning, explain or interpret the dream and walk in it, you will live your life in a dimension of reward, great honor and gifts. Dreamers are always rewarded for bringing solutions to complex problems.

The complex problems in your life carry a big reward, only if you can pay attention to what God is saying to you in your dreams. Once you begin to fully walk in this, you will walk in an undeniable dimension of God's inheritance which God has already released for us in Christ Jesus, Ephians 1:3

Joseph was promoted to being the second highest in command in a foreign land. He went from prison to the office of prime minister. All because he interpreted a dream. WOW! what an honor God bestowed on him. What a reward! Now think about it, how many things and places does God want to take you simply because you're explaining mysteries.

How much are we missing from God because we have believed otherwise about dreams. Our minds have been soiled, and our perspective has been stained. We accept everything else from God but not dreams.

Gifts, rewards and honor are the by-products of walking in dream interpretation in your life. At a personal level, you must at least know what God is speaking to you. When you begin to interpret or explain your dream, what it means is you're flowing in the spirit of prophecy. Hence you become your own prophet.

Years ago when I got this revelation I used to say this, and I still do. Be very careful who you tell your dream, because the minute they open their mouth to interpret it, they are prophesying over your life. Also be very careful what you open your mouth to say about your own dreams, because interpretation or explanation is as strong as prophetic utterance. Joseph didn't interpret his early dreams, his brothers and father did. He just told them what he saw in the dreams, and they concluded what they thought!

DREAMS ARE GOD'S BUSINESS!

If at all you don't know what your dream means, wait on God, seek him out. One of my mentors recently told me to pray through what you see in dreams. No matter how complex and confusing the dream maybe. God who is the giver of dreams will make it known to you.

"Interpreting dreams is God's business," Joseph replied. "Go ahead and tell me your dreams." Genesis 40:8 (NLT)

Dreams are not interpreted by anyone except God Himself. It's not astrologers, horoscope, card reading, palm reading, dream diviners NO!! God himself through you, and any other trusted source who has a track record with walking uprighlty with God. Don't be out there getting trash from the world. Ask Nebuchadnezzar he will tell you that any of these so-called spiritist, magicians, wizards, sooth sayers, psychics cannot intepret God dreams. They do not have the Holy Spirit of God in them.

"So he called in his counselors, advisors, magicians, and wise men, and said, “I am disturbed by a dream that I don't understand, and I want you to explain it...

The king replied, “You're just stalling for time, because you know what's going to happen if you don't come up with the answer. You've decided to make up a bunch of lies, hoping I might change my mind...

His advisors explained, “Your Majesty, you are demanding the impossible! No king, not even the most famous and powerful, has ever ordered his advisors, magicians, or wise men to do such a thing. It can't be done, except by the gods, and they don't live here on earth.” Daniel 2:1-10 (CEV)

So do yourself a favour, seek out the matter of your dream from God's Word. Pray to God, ask Him to help you understand what He means. God is not interested in you just knowing the meaning of the dream. God is more interested in having your heart, growing you In His love and fellowship through the ministry of the Word of God. Any other source of interpretation will give you a bunch of lies.
